algorithmic modeling for Rhino
hi all,
i am working on a gcode generator from lines for my 3-axis machine (file is attached), and the order of data i get from rhino varies.
e.g. while i am working with an exploited text data, it starts from the first letter, and goes in order and at one point it goes to last letter and continue from there is backwards order.
another example is when there is a file with lots of curves, it goes for a curve in the upper left than for the one in lower right, than goes again another one on the upper left.
so question is, what can i do to make it work faster? i am just brighten. tried proximity but with lots of data, it takes lots of time to calculate. so now i am gonna try to make re-order them by the distance of first curve. it may work, i'll write again when i am done. till that, if anyone have any other idea, i will be pleased.
thanks in adv

so i made it, (attached image) but it compares the distance of 1st point against rest. so e.g. with a work area shaped square, if upper left is 1st point, lower left and upper right and the curve between them are all equal. and it'll make it look like random again, and wont save much time. better to replace base point every time with the closest next.
only way i can think to make it creating a loop. any proper way for it? or some other way make it work?
