algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I need to move the points of the initial structure in z direction, with some relation between each other and being able to vary them.

Then, i need to reconstruct the initial structure with those points.

My aim is to be able to do something similar like this:

I think you need to explain better, what it is that you are trying to achieve and where you are having trouble. Also point out where in the file it is you are stuck, by taking a screenshot or marking it in the .gh file (you can either give a group a label or use a scribble object or just mark it in the screenshot).

Also you will find that people help you much quicker if you dont just call your post "Help", but rather something concrete like "Variable move in z-direction". Lastly you should only include relevant stuff in your .gh file, so just copy the part you have a problem with and create a new file. Ok, so much for forum etiquette.

Solution to your actual problem:

You can use MeshFromPoints to recreate the surface. You just need to feed it the points and the correct number of U and V points, which after some trial and error is in U the number of curves and in V the number of segments plus 1, because with 8 segments you get 9 points.

thank you very much.

if you have time, can you read what tina jerrera's just posted?

thank youuu

Hi! Could you please upload the file from the image you attached? It would be great so that we're able to understand which commands are being used.

Thankyou!
