algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Dear all,
I recently have installed the WIP version of Rhino couldn't get GHpython to load in grasshopper. Can anybody help to get this fixed?
During the launch of the grashopper plugin, I get a dialog window with the title "grasshopper loading errors". In that window I see one message that I can Export or copy to a clipboard. The content of that message can be find below.
Priority: GhpyLoader

Tnx Giulio, it surprises me that seems I'm the only one.
The developer came back to me with a possible new thing to check. Did you by any chance install a different version of IronPython than the one that ships with Rhino?
That might cause Rhino to mistakenly load the independent version that you have, and in turn, get confused by that.
Can you please see if uninstalling any other IronPython fixes the issue? (Rhino 5 and WIP both come with their own version of IronPython, that is locally-loaded).
Thanks,
Giulio

Oh, sorry, I missed this message. As mentioned in an reply higher in the hierarchy, it was exactly that!
Tnx for all the effort!
I found the problem! I had a separate ironpython (2.7) installation that was required for Rhino python .net SDK. I just uninstalled that version and python in wip was working again. Funny enough that Rhino5 remained working in all cases.
Tnx for help, guys!
Ah, great that we finally figured this out! Really good to know.
As a side note, Rhino 5 does not require a Python installation to run.
