It's difficult to tell just when looking at the end result (as indeed it should be). However it certainly can be done using GH, so you need to come up with the ruleset for this geometry. What aspects of it are specified ahead of time? What are the equations/algorithms that govern the various steps? What constraints does the end result have to obey?
