algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Namaste,
I have recently started exploring grasshopper and was trying to understand points on curve and have a very basic question.
I used control points component on a curve and tried changing the position of one of the points to change the curve profile but it didn't work. Shouldn't the curve also update when we change the point's location?
Big thanks for the Help. :D

Namaste Kim,
Thanks a lot for the help.
Couple Questions though:
Why do we use the average mean component for the plane value?cant we use xy plane component?
I tried doing it keeping rest of the things same but the point updated differently for X and Y directions.
My main objective was to move the point around, and here "scale nu" component has been used, is it doing the same thing?I am trying to figure out if the move component will work here
Sorry its talking me quite some time to understand that's why the late reply.
Thanks a ton again.cheers :D
Don't concern about those secondary things. It's a demo.
The key point is what Daniel already mentioned bellow.
Hi
I tried doing this and I'm doing it in a way where it's all in grasshopper. The errors I get are -
Node: Replace Items
(1. Index [2] out of range)
(2. Solution exception:Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index)
Node: Nurbs Kurb PWK
(1. Input parameter P failed to collect data)
Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong here please.Screenshot%20%2821%29.png
You are moving a point, not a control point of the curve. They are different instances. The logic would be move the point, replace it in its previous version in the list of control points and create a new curve with these control points.
Although GH is not happy with this type of procedure, here's an object modeling tool:

And as a final note, what you're trying to do is something common in rhino, but very rare in gh, are used other logics, more instructions and less manual.
Thanks,
I'm not sure of your question. It is quite similar to rhino gumball,, you can move an item or all at the same time, check out the video:
