Geometric volume script

I'm fairly new to Grasshopper and would like advice on how to go about writing a script to create a volume similar to that shown in the photo above. Preferably one that can be modified easily to create several different sizes and variations. Any help is appreciated!

It was one of a few projects presented as examples of interactive/responsive outdoor installations. We were then to create one of our own, but the project I'm currently working on isn't related. In this case I'm just interested in the creation of a similar type of volume. It won't ever be fabricated, I'm afraid. I'm an architecture student myself.

Out of curiosity, are there any online images or videos of the actual construction of your buqs project floating around?

Always interesting to see where the work ends up. Any chance you can put me in touch with the tutors? We also teach and give workshops, maybe there's an opportunity there. Sadly no videos or images of the construction though.
