algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I am struggling to clean an inward offset.
Unfortunately, my starting curves have filets which produce self-crossing curves after the inward offset.
I used Systemiq's trick with the MCX component to trim the curves , but now it's a pain to remove the unwanted segments and get a clean closed curve.
Is there a better / more simple way to do a clean offset ?
Cheers,

Hello Olivier,
in case you are open to plugins use, this is a great plugin, working with polylines.
the following is the offset result of a referenced interpolated curve. It outputs both offsets to work with.

Thank you so much Alex, this will save me alot of headaches !
I can't figure out why Rhino doesn't produce a clean result like this already.
In case there is someone somewhere who still likes the crappy offsets, then there could be an extra Rhino command called "Clean Offset" ...
Cheers,
SolidWorks, on the other hand, produces clean offsets directly.
