Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

If I have a surface 100% U and 100% V, how can I only select a % in U and a % in V, something like the Sub Curve component for the curves, but in both directions?

I want to populate only that % of the surface with a margin from the edges..

Thanks!

Hi Andres,

There is such a component but it goes by two names on the toolbar prompt it's called IsoTrim but on the component its called SubSrf(IsoTrim).

The way you use is to supply a UV domain like in this example:  http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/erase-seam-of-nurbs-curve...

Or for your specific case you can even do the maths based on the dimensions you've given.

But I'm guessing all you really want to do is supply 0.1 for a 10% margin for the start and have 1 - given percentage for the End rather than base it on actual numbers.

Yes, that is what I was looking for!

Here is that one I could make after your idea!
