Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Guys,

I'm new to grasshopper. I'm attempting to create something likes this

I've already done part of the GH definition, but I have no idea how to rotate each floor to achieve this. (i.e. how to pair the rotation angles to the specific floors). Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hmm ... for abstract (ugly) twisted stuff you need to define an abstract (ugly) twisted "skin" and NOT rotate some module. For the floors you'll need to extrude "equivalent" profiles etc etc. For the elevators/load bearing structure/partitions/room schedules/etc ... er ... you'll need several lines of C# code.

But ... going from hallucination to reality is a totally different animal and requires a lot of other things. Therefor I would strongly recommend avoiding that type of abstract AEC exploitation(s) unless you are after primitive decorative objects and/or some kind of artistic stuff.

See attached.

Hey,
At the moment u have 40 Floors and 10 angles... U have to repeat the angles so the length of the angle-list matches the length of the floor-list. Try to use 'LongestList'-component. This component does have some options to choose from. I guess u want 'wrap' or 'flip'.

Thanks guys!
