Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all, I recently came across a tutorial for 'grid pinching' (grid%20pinching%20full.PNG) on a blog which I've been experimenting with in order to convert the pinched grid from 2d to 3d (with pipes), however I can't quite seem to get it working - the grid does not react to the points, as well as an error informing me that there's an insufficient number of points. I attempted flattening the input points however that doesn't seem to fix anything.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

PS I'm quite new to grasshopper and so I apologise in advance if the solution is quite simple.

Hi.

Your definition seems a little bit different from the tutorial, anyway, check attached def, Best.

That's exactly what I was looking to do, thanks so much!

Hi Hyungsoo.

Can you tell me why you have flipped the matrix and merged it together?

Compare the two data tree structure will can tell you the difference.

In this way(ie; FlipMatrix + Simplify ---> Merge), you only have to do it once otherwise you should do twice.
