Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hej,

This may be awkward, but is there a way to internalize data faster? I am doing a piece by piece construction starting from points in rhino (the only way it seems to work so far) and I am 5% through and I am really annoyed by having to set the point then right click again and internalize data ... so ... any tips??

So you're importing a large number of individual points using separate point parameters and you want to internalize them all?

YUP ---- THAT IS THE CRAZY IDEA

When you right click to set one Pt change the type in the command line from Type=Point to Type=Coordinate. This will internalise them directly, no need to do it twice.

Hmm, it won't be easy to automate the interface of Grasshopper through Grasshopper. In general I question the wisdom to create a lot of individual floating parameters which hold constants, it seems counter to the basic idea of GH.

Could you just put all points into a single parameter, then graft and Explode tree to get access to the separate points?
