algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi all,
I'm trying to find a way to control size, density and shape(s) (triangle/quadrilateral/pentagon/hexagon) of a mesh. My end goal is to make developable shapes using sheet materials. It seems like this is something that is already being done using some combination of Weaverbird, Meshmachine, Kangaroo, and Plankton. I've played a little with WB and Kangaroo because they are the two I can get to work, but I've had no success as of yet. My question;
Which of the above mentioned should I be using to achieve my goals?

How much scripting do you do? Do you work with either C# or VB.NET?
I think it is most sufficient to say that I do no scripting. I just started playing with it literally yesterday. I realized that it was not going to be a solution for me anytime soon, and so I signed into the forum to seek help.
Search for examples of Kangaroo MeshMachine, about the only actual re-mesher that I now of, alas only triangles, not quads, but pentagons/hexagons can be had via making a dual of triangles. I have a lot of MeshMachine scripts posted on the forum.
Thanks Nik. If I've properly installed MeshMachine, will it show up like Kangaroo did? If not, where/how?
If you double click the canvas and start typing "Mesh..." you should see:
It's only a part of Kangaroo not Kangaroo 2 which is complementary rather than a full update.
You then...oh Lord...have to know how to make it go. I'm sorry, it's tweaky. It won't go. It never goes.
Post some starting objects you want to remesh and I can make it go, but you will owe me an hour.
