Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everybody,

I have been trying unsuccessfully to place a number of points with increasing spacing along a curved line.

It seems easy to do that along a straight line using the range component and the pathmapper.

However for a curved line I have not found a solution.

The spacing between the points should increase from A to B as it does for the straight line (1).

It would be great if someone could give me a hint or a suggestion how to manage to do that.

Many thanks in advance!!!!

Hi Findie,

As long as the curve is reparameterized, you can keep the domain as 0 to 1 and don't need to adjust the

range on graphmapper.

Hi Ethan,

thank youuuuu!

of course I didnt try to evaluate the curve with a range.Simple as well.

If you dont mind would u by any chance know how to do the the same thing for a grid of points?

I mean changing the u v spacing in between the points as for the curved line.

Tried that as well.

Here's one possibility.
