algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I am looking to distribute 4 different color at certain percentage:

1. Blue - 40%  of all my geometry

2. Yellow - 30%  of all my geometry

3. Red - 15%  of all my geometry

4. Green - 15%  of all my geometry

Ideally, the percentage distribution should be parametric as well.

My gut feeling told me that I should utilize the gene pool component and mass addition but it is not working for me.

Please see attachment for my gh file.

Many thanks.

Perfect, many thanks! It works like magic.

Hey David,

I am trying to take that script one step forward by labelling the spheres according to its colours, I have been experimenting with partition list, spilt list etc. Perhaps I am not understanding the idea of data list well enough. Would you be able to help? Please see attachment. Thanks.

Can you reorganise the file without the Bake component (I don't have it installed).

Hi!  This has been really helpful to me, however my next question would be: can you tell the colors to distribute themselves so that there is minimal grouping and more even distribution? I tried this out and some of my colors have been made into clumps.

I am working on a similar problem but with rectangles 1 x 2 ratio. Cannot seem to get the distribution to work for percentage of colors though. Any ideas?
