Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am a beginner with grasshopper, and need some help on creating a polyline through predefined points. I hope someone can help me with this.

I defined a set of points on a vertical line, and create an offset to the side. The entire thing will be parametric, the distance between the points and the offset can vary. I would now like to create a polyline that switches from and two the different sets. As an example of what I want, I have drawn the line in Rhino. I have also added my grasshopper file, I really hope someone can help me!

Thanks in advance,

Bettine

There are several approaches that spring to mind, the most sensible ones are:

  1. Use the Weave component to create an interspersed list of points made up of points from both the original and the offset list.
  2. Create a single square unit, array it and then connect all the resulting curves into a single polyline.

Both approaches are attached.

Thanks a lot, the weave was exactly what I was looking for!
