How to make spiral column detail

Hi. I want to be able to make a spiral design on a column but cant figure out how to do that. Ive already tried to interpol curve on surface but it only lets you twist so far. does anyone have a suggestion?. see attached pictures for examples.

I used Entwine just to add 3 branches instead of one branch/list, thus I have first branch with all first points of arcs, a second branch with all middle points (wich will be moved) and a third branch for the third points of the arcs. It's like use Point Cylindrical component three times, but in the same module. This has nothing special, just allow me to reduce the amount of components (which could be reduced even more, but its ok).
The logic is simple, if I wanted to use the arc by three-point component, and these arches form a spiral, then I generate the three branches of points spirally.
