Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone!!!

So, here´s my Question, how can I solve a surface as "one" or as a "unit".

for example, this cylinder, it has a line that "divide it". How can i get rid of it¿¿, so i can solve (in this example a voronoir diagram) as one in my surface.

Thanks !!

my workmate asked me too, i do not known why.

maybe have to rebulit it by loft.

Surfaces 101...  I'm no expert but I don't think you can create the surface as "one"  or seamless in rhino. every cylinder, by its nature, will have an seam even when lofting.

how did you create the voronoi?

How about using 3d Voronoi in grasshopper, you don't get a miss match across the seam with it.

see attached image with grasshopper def.

The seam is to the front in both cylinders.

you need to be aware you need a larger bounding box than the cylinder when creating the 3d voronoi, i offset the surface in this case.

hope this helps

Hi thanks for the answer....but I also tried the 3D voro and it is the same result when I want to keep the lines ...I'll try lofting

yes, you are right.

i loft, then the result is same.
