how to sort a list according to the geometry it was generated from?

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a definition in which i can check the unobstructed areas of a set of overlapping curves.

once i have the curves i project them to the plane where i check the overlapping between them, but since they would probably intersect in more than one way - more geometry is created than what was originally projected.

and since i want to return the cut curves to the corresponding z coordinate of the one it was generated from and show the unobstructed area on that specific curve - i run into problems.

is there a simple way in which i can return the cut curves to the original z value - even if it's dissected into many curves?

attached is the definition of what i started

sorry about the mess, i hope this is clear...:-)

thanks

Hi.
In this way, you can check unobstructed area per each curve by comparing each curve with every other curves except itself.

excellent! thanks!

is there a way to sort them so that the obstruction will be according to their relative height? meaning the top-most curve will be completely unobstructed?

thanks again!
