algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I have three circles that I am trying to loft together. However it seems that the circle "start" and "end" are not aligned or something like that because the loft comes out twisted/inverted. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ben

Have you tried modifying the loft options in the loft component to tell it to align the sections?
Or use a flip component, one of your curves is pointing in the opposite direction...
Andrew, I've tried the align sections option. When I toggle it on and off, it just changes where the surface inversion is from between the 1st and 2nd circle to between the 2nd and 3rd circle.

David, I am trying to get the flip to work, but so far it is giving me the same surface. I'll try to play around with the guide curve to see if I can get it right.

Thanks.

the same issue , loft ( already align section curve) only creates the lower part , and sweep 1 doesn't work , is this the bug itself?

Hi Mike

i guess your loft only has the lower part is a datatree issue?(since i dont have your gh file, it's only an assumption). And for lofting circles with different rotations you have to use seam component. check attached file.

Hi O Loos, I think seam works quite well, only concerning about as in the non-orthogonal situation of its usability, so I'd rather use align plane to reorientate their direction into the same condition. It seems to be doable also. And still thanks for your quick reply :)
Best,
Mike
