algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Can I make a slider to snap into specific numbers . . not sequential just selected numbers I fed in . for example at 5,12,30 and 47
I need it for galapagos gene input. Tell me if there is any other way that i can feed galapagos a list of fixed numbers. At the time i am only able to feed, sliders with sequential expression like 30,40,50,60,70

The problem i have steel appears in 'Gene pool too'
What I need is, for the slider to snap into specific numbers, as it snaps to integers when you make it to round to integers or a multiple of some number when you make the expression x*some number.
I need it to snap into specific numbers I gave. I need this to make the galapagos evolutionary process efficient. to search for the best combinations of only the numbers i want.
Do you mean you want to give Galapagos a set of specific numbers, but want it to only search within DIFFERENT COMBINATIONS of those numbers?
So for example if you give 10,20,30 and 31, you want to feed it: 10,20,31,30 then 20,10,31,30, etc.. and all possible combinations of those given numbers?
yeah exactly ... if the numbers i want are 20,30,40 (with common spacing), the slider allows me to do it ... I don't think it is possible to modify the slider in the way I want.
But the Kyle Faulkner way(look below) could solve it ...
Thanks for your time though!
Thank you!! ... this was my first time to ask question on this forum ... I was not expecting such a quick response with such kind of precise solution !!
I think am falling in love with this forum :)
Hello Kyle,
the bummer here is that slider properties can not be set by an input.
Therefor, if I have another list of values with a different length, then either some values will be ignored, or some indexes will return a null output...
Cheers,
