Hi Larissa, I think you'll get a better answer if you post your *.gh file with the curves internalized. In the meantime you may want to explode (Deconstruct Brep) your Brep/polysurface before testing the individual surfaces for planarity.

I'd say you'll want to graft the Contour output so you'll have all separate curves to project. Now each curve gets lofted with its projection.
