algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi, I have a simple example, see attached, where the pipe component comes to a point along a closed curve. I have noticed this behavior more than once with this component, sometimes it works where the pipe is uniform throughout the extent of the curve and sometimes not. Can anyone address this?
To help reproduce the problem, I've provided the rhino file with the bits of curve i used to construct the closed curve.
Many thanks

Thanks for the input Daniel. I neglected to mention that sometimes "rewiring" the curve will work, as it did in your case. But sometimes you come upon a curve that just won't cooperate ;)
Attached is a definition that has an open curve that you can try to close (bake first) with a polyline(s) or reconstruct as you say, but try as you might, the pipe component will not behave. As you edit the curve in any number of ways the walls of the tube will resolve to a point that moves with every edit.
If you turn off the fillet component (set to 0) you will notice that the point transforms into what seems to be the ends of an open curve extending a bit beyond the original curve.
