algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey all,

I just reinstalled kangaroo and plankton the other day. I've never used plankton, but when I went to test it out I noticed that the "CreatePlankton" is missing from my toolbar. "PlanktonFromPoints" and "DesconstuctPlankton" are there. When I load the PlanktonDemo0.3.0, there is a "CreatePlankton" component. How do I fix this?

Notice there are two plankton components in the tool bar and a "CreatePlankton" on the canvas. Also notice how Kangaroo (1) and the new Kangaroo2 are in separate tabs- is that correct? Do Kangaroo (1) components work with Kangaroo2? If so, can they be merged?

Hi Lawrence,
CreatePlankton is no longer needed, as you can now simply connect a GH mesh to a plankton mesh parameter and it will be converted. The demo files need updating.
The old and new versions of Kangaroo cannot share actual force/goal objects, as the underlying methods they use for solving the physics are different. It is still currently recommended to keep both, so you can open files made with the old version, and still have access to the utility components.

Thanks for the reply, Daniel.

So when I downloaded Kangaroo2 I noticed that it did not come with a "UserObjects" folder. And when I compare the new Kangaroo with the old, there seems to be significantly fewer components. Is this correct?
