algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi!

I have a curved surface/façade where I want to apply a diagrid structure/construction.

What I want is that the diagrid structure starts at a given height, the floor height in this case. The surface/façade is curved so you can not use divide by length or something similar. How can I achieve this?

I tried to explain it in this image. X is the fixed height. A,B,C,D, are the divided parts of the curved surface. What I want to achieve is that the boundaries of the diagrid construction are the "green" lines.

I want to regulate the height of the divisions, not how many divisions (U,V)

I hope I explained it well, and someone is able to help me!

Thanks in advance!

Create a horizontal plane at the correct height and intersect the curve and the plane.

Thanks a lot David!

It seems to be working now, I get the intersection lines of the planes of the surface.

The next step is to draw a diagrid structure on it.

My question now is how can I do this? So that the structure is continuous, not that the diagrids are shifting at the different intersection lines? I tried using lunchbox but it is not working yet.

Maybe you can help me?

Thanks in advance!

Maria
