Choosing Polyline based on CCP distance Error

Hi,

I am running into a small error. I am attempting to select polylines based on their centroid using the Curve Closest Point distance method while maintaining my data structure. It works just fine, except for one out of place polyline. I am confused because the final branch that returns the error has the same minimum distances for the items I am selecting as every branch prior.

So I did some more analysis and have come up with two brute force solutions which are not what I had in mind but can be a fix if I had happened to have a deadline. Right now when I adjust the input I will consistently have to manually adjust one or more of the branches and rebuild it. Anyway, if anyone might know an easier solutions that will work consistently with adjustment of the parameters, I would appreciate the help.
