A Mast Supported Tensile Tent Surface With Grasshopper

I have read, that the shape of such a tent has to do with things like the first and second fundamental forms of a surface, the mechanical principal of virtual work, the minimal surfaces in differential geometry, nonlinear structural behaviour, complex differential equations,...

There also some CAD programs, that do this job (for example: http://k3-tent.com/). Even there are some ways of doing this with the help of plugins for Grasshopper (for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4x86zKvQs6o). But there must be some algorithm, that I can compute on my own using grasshopper without any help from other plugins or other programs?

I believe, that I can program this with Grasshopper. I believe in Grasshopper.

So, I am asking you guys for some advice regarding this issue. Does anybody know, where I should start or what I should start with in order to get this done by my own self? (no matter, how long this should take me! I have time!)

Thanks alot in advance.

Hello?

Well, in this link (,that you should maybe correct?) you can find the plugin "Kangroo" for Grasshopper.

I wrote in the start of this discussion: "Even there are some ways of doing this with the help of plugins for Grasshopper...". So maybe you should also read the question first before you answer? :D

And thanks for your nice advice.
