Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi!
I need to do a similar thing but i don't know how.I've tried to unite several points but the result was a totally different thing.Any
ideas?
Thanks in advance

Hi Giorgios,

I would create a bunch of lines of the desire length

Create two random point cloud( loads of points inside a box perhaps)

create a 2p vector between the two random point clouds.

orient your curves on the resultant vector

That should be a start!

Another possibility...

Create a spherical point cloud (in 3D, obviously) and randomly orient a line to each point.

When the lines are projected to a plane I think you could get the gradient effect and random line lengths your after.

P.S. Hi Evert.
Hi Taz,

How's everything going?

Hi Giorgios, Yet another option.

Create a random point cloud, create a fixed line length attach to each point, create a random bunch of numbers ( the same list length as lines/points) scale and rotate each line randomly using the list, you can shuffle the random list to rotate before applying it.

Cheers

The gradient is kind of tough. There also seems to be some kind of "loose" branching going on because there aren't really any isolated lines...

mmm that seems interesting!!Could you send me the file you worked in,so I can see the way you do it?Thanks in advance!

taz could you tell me how you did this? thanks or please share

thank you guys!
I'm going to try your solutions, and hope to resolve the problem!;)
