algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I've been experimenting with the Bull Ant plug in to tessellate a specific geometry along a curve. I've gotten up to the point where it tessellates the voronoi cells (as i used voronoi 3D). However, i'm trying to integrate a different geometry (in this instance, a fractal polygon), into the <tessellation type> from the bull ant plug in however it comes up with an error saying 'data conversion failed from BREP to TESSTYPE',

can someone please explain what i'm doing wrong? or what i need to do to the fractal geometry to allow this to work?

Hi Annie,

Thanks for posting.  Unfortunately the component can't tessellate for user defined patterns, it is only capable of those that I implemented in code.  If you right click on the input you can select this (I am in the process of updating these selection menus, the dialogs were the best option with earlier builds of grasshopper).

The routine wouldn't know how to set out spacing in various directions or orient the composing elements for an arbitrary shape, so unfortunately my components won't help in this case.
