how to turn a surface into (solid) object with volume?

hi, in gh file the last product is lofted surface, but i want it to have a thickness at least. what in my mind is some kind of process like "pipe" but for surface, not curve.

an offset process would work somehow also but i couldn't make it solid in gh. (which is not i really prefer but sounds easier to make)

and here is what's happening in gh file, it's a messy one, i would be happy also if someone help me to make it more proper. there is a base surface which i divide and copy points, distance by attractor points.

here is a problem, i tried to make an attractor curve but couldnt make it, so i turn the curve in points and it seems ok. but if i put more than 10 points on it, there is an error occurring, which is like some points being copied more than once and distance is from different attractors.

after that, between base surface points and their copies, it draw a line and those lines being lofted. but i am pretty sure the way i make it in gh is not right, i just copy gh components and connect all of them one by one. i need to divide base surface like 200x50, and if do it, i have to copy that part of gh 200+50...

Just spotted that one (def cleaned and "slightly" altered, he he).

Easily doable ... but Rhino is exceptionally slow in "solid" ops).

So before uploading the salvation (or rather the CPU torture , he he) tell me:

Given the collection of rib breps (as "faces") do you want a unified solid like this one captured (kinda like perforating a variable thickness "plate"):

or you just want to thicken these (no matter what happens in the intersection areas):

unified solid version sounds much better, but it doesn't really matter for my current purpose so i would prefer which my cpu prefers :P if it's all same for cpu, unified one then.

thx a lot btw :)

OK, let's torture to the max that CPU (I hate computers, he he).

You have 2 modes to play: ribs as faces and the EXTRA SLOW unified thing (see red gates).

DO NOT activate the final thing before you are 100% OK with the ribs (or the perforators)
