Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am new to both Rhino and Grasshopper so I will apologise in advance for how frustrating my lack of knowledge may be to some people. I am a Arch Master's student studying at the University of Liverpool, UK. We are currently undertaking our Thesis project. For our project we have entered a competition run by TRADA to design a series of aircraft hangers for an aviation museum.

Below is an image of our basic form, what looks to be at least. I have been through a couple of rhino and grasshopper tutorials provided by this forum, which I thankyou for, and more on youtube. As you can imagine that is a lot of information that I am trying to compute in a small space of time. I understand the basics of working in both programs but I feel I still need guidance.

1) I have found this post http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/double-layer-gridshell?id..., which is basically what I am trying to apply to our surface in order to create a timber multi-layer grid shell. My main problem is that I am not sure how to apply it to the surface as there is so many parameters to consider which I dont understand yet.

2) I have attempted to write a logic which is along the lines of what we wish to create but as you can see the geodesic form is not complete due to there been no points along the two end of curves of the form. I have probably got the logic completely wrong but any help would be appreciated.
