algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I have a Surface, I need 2 piped grids (total) with starting with the points diagonal from each other in plan on top of the surface and the other grid going the opposite way on the underside of the surface.
Refer to my JPG for my drawing of my idea
Refer to my 3dm file for my surface
I believe this requires lists and items because of the way grasshopper functions, my efforts have been futile with flowalongsurface, but I know nothing of lists and items.
Thanks in advance!
I really need help on this, so I really appreciate all the community has done here with me.

Hi Kim: Great example to learn from! I'm currently using your script on a symmetrical surface, and the 2 pipe systems are not inline coordinate wise. In order to make a mirror for the pipe system running in the mirror direction, somewhere in your script a (-1) value would be needed would it not? So that the pipes start at same coordinate? ....HELP :)
Thanks Kim! That's Incredible, did you see in my picture there is one piped on top of the surface, and one below it? That's why I labelled one plan, and one section.
Is there a way to offset the curve perpendicular to the normals of the surface in order to achieve this affect? So that one grid is above the surface and one below?
As you can see in my def, you can overlap each group of diagonal curves by manipulating Surface morph component's "W" domain input.
This is so beautiful and clean. I just tried it, suppose it wasn't right to say something before testing it, Thank You Very Much!
How did you learn grasshopper? I gotta sign up for those classes, hahaha
I'm playing with it now, I'm just confused about what the W Domain and factor controls.
I am trying to do some weaving now, I saw some examples and might look at those. I love drawing, thinking logically is great, but translating it to the computer is always the difficult part.
