Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys, I'm writing this script in gh in order to create a simple grid, based on columns covering all the surface.

  • I'd like to have the columns inside the grid so probably moving the centroid from the center of the column to the edge or to the corner...it depends if the column is in the corner of the big rectangular grid or not.

  • Then I'd like to dimension automatically the distance from the columns (in the axis of them) with for examples simple dimension that we can find in Autocad or Rhino as well.

Thx to all for the support and keep thinking parametric! :)

I built bigger region (on half of column) around grid (so corner columns will act the same way as others) and moved columns away from it if distance between them and region is bigger than half of their size.

So distance between columns became uneven. If I got you wrong and you don't need this, just subtract column size from X and Y of region size.
