subdivide surfaces to generate lots from areas values

hi

does someone knows how to divide a surface on diffrent "urban"lots like "cityengine"

I creates a road network and would like to define a subdivision with some areas values - something like the lots can be included 100m² to 200m².

I would like after to project it on a terrain.

any help will be greatfull

Any idea what algorithm cityengine uses? From the looks of it, it isn't a very naive recursive division algorithm, as primary lot directions and boundary adjacency must be retained for all lots.

i tried to give it a go, but this needs lots of rules to begin.

i am guessing some of them min, max area, min, max length of each plot edge to boundary, no isolated plots without access to the road, shape restrictions etc.

hi,

I would like to know the Cityengine algorithm for it...

ng5 Alex , I've seen that it would need a lot of rules and I tried in diffrent ways but I didn't get something.

So I'm trying to do in diffrent way.. I would like to get an urban organisation. I'm trying to make a random distribution of circles but not overlap so with a minimum distance between them..

in case U have any idea ... :)
