algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,
I am trying to assign different colours to planar curves (contour lines) depending on their height (Z axis coordinates).
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot

Not sure about curves, maybe a script is needed. Here is a definition that I put together to colour mesh vertices based on Z co-ordinate, maybe it could give you some food for thought.

No script is needed. If it is a simple surface / site model then you can just take a point on each contour curve (I am assuming they are planar curves organized in a list). Depending on the method by which you generated the lines, they could already be organized from lowest contour to highest...maybe not. In any case, grab a point on each curve, for example CURVES>ANALYSIS>END POINTS. ... the image and ghx will explain the rest... If more than one contour lie on the same level, then maybe it will need to be tricked out to solve that as well...
