Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Guys,

Would you know how to generate a minimal surface from more than 4boundary curves?

I have tried using this great plugin:

http://www.grasshopper3d.com/profiles/blogs/minimal-surface-plugin?...

but it is limited to 4boundary curves which is not always enough...

Thanks a lot,

Arthur

hello robert,

thanks for response!

as shown in the image (hard to tell?) i'm interested in applying surfaces over individual 'cells'.
i've used GeometryGym's curve network patch tool to isolate these 'cells' as closed polylines, and from there trying to figure out how to span surfaces over them in whatever way possible (not too picky).

tried using delaunay mesh as an option (as shown in image), but its not quite right because the mesh isn't always inside the 'cell' boundary (it bleeds outside).

any suggestions are highly appreciated..
best,
ognek

Hi Robert,

Would there be a way to get a mesh as an output?
This might make definitions less heavy no and solve the curved edge problem ?

Many thanks for all your help and effort,

Arthur
for a mesh use the P output, plug it into "mesh from points" . also the curves edge problem does not matter so much if you have enough u/v count. since the calculation is done on points it would not solve any faster as mesh. also take a look at this post it may clear up some things

Thanks you so much Robert I really appreciate, I ll give it a go on my definition.
