Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,
I have a set of meshes out of wich I'm trying to extract only the horizontal faces for radiance evaluation.
I tried to do it by culling the faces without normals in the Z direction but I get these fragmants of faces instead of just simple rectangles.
Can anyone help?

(The relevant part of the code is marked as a red group)

Thanks,
Itamar

Hi Itamar,

I believe you use various plugins in your definition and people can't open it if they don't have them. Could you isolate the relevant part (by internalising the meshes before the red group)?

I have baked the geometry into Rhino and linked it back to Grasshopper as a brep, then turned in into a mesh. It looks a bit different now but it still produces vertical surfaces and intersecting surfaces:

Ok, you just have to right-click/graft on the [CullF] Mesh input so that both inputs have the same data structure.

Wow, I can't believe I missed that...

Thanks for helping!
