Triangulated Paneling

Hi Everyone!
I have in my project a atrium like condition and i want to hang from it a pendant like structure that flows from the first to the 4th floor.
i already modeled the surface, but how can i panel it with triangulated Panels that have opening from one side more than the other.

I attached an example of what i am looking for. However, my surface is simpler.

Dont know if this is what you are looking for but,

try downloading the Wave Bird plugin (if you dont have it), and then something like this.
