Grasshopper Ribbons Disappearing

I am a student at Washington State University. The problem I am having is that the ribbons in my grasshopper document that are used to generate components have disappeared and I have no idea how I might get them back. Right now grasshopper is unusable.

Grasshopper worked fine until about a year ago when this problem started. I have looked through numerous tutorial and asked many students, but no one seems to know what is wrong with the program.

I'm not sure if I accidentally turned off some display function or if there is something wrong with the grasshopper license. It's possible that there is a solution under the "view" of "display" tabs, or I might have to reinstall grasshopper.

Has anyone encountered a problem like this or know how I might fix it? I am including a screenshot of my grasshopper document as it is now to help make the circumstance more clear. Any help would be appreciated.
