Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all, I have a problem, I designed a road with the technical elements (Zanelle, drains, curbs, etc.) and street furniture (benches, trees, etc.), but I would like to export all size ifc revit for, and maintain, however, all geometric information (height, width, depth) and possibly manipulate them in revit, and show annexed generic information such as area and volume. The problem is that I can not understand how to set easily the links between the objects and the many geometrygym' components (I state that I am a beginner with geometrygym). I hope to have been clear and that someone can direct me on the right path.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Luciano,

Thanks for the post.  I think you're touching on a very interesting subject, that's really still in it's infancy in BIM.

IFC4 has started to make provision for civil and landscaping elements, but on in a very preliminary way.

Refer to http://www.buildingsmart-tech.org/ifc/IFC4/final/html/link/ifcgeogr...

In Revit, it's a similar story as it only has a very limited set of categories.  However, there is some provision in Omniclass for this.  Refer to this image.

I'll have to help you with some specific functionality to achieve this, but I'm keen to do so if you can share your models (you can do this privately by emailing me).

I look forward to discussing further,

Jon

Hi Jon,

Thank you for your quick response and support. At the moment my model is really chaotic, because I'm calling with my supervisor of the thesis the main topic, which at the time, I was not yet clear, and as you confirm for me the question "family roads" (et similia) is still the dawn in Revit environment. But really take into consideration your suggestion if I can define with certainty the topic of my thesis right on GH-BIMroads-Revit. Thank you so much for your invaluable help as always.
