algorithmic modeling for Rhino

connecting points on lines to their closest points on adjacent lines

Hi everyone, im working on this model where the idea is i that i have a square w lines fom the corners to the center divided each in a certain amount of points. im trying to connect each group of points to their closest points on their adjacent line to their right and to their left. 

on the rhino file i draw what im expecting the grasshopper to do, and there s also my definition, i cant seem to find the problem.

i would apreciate any help!
