Method for ordering icons in a component tray?

Hello,

Is there a method, other than alphabetical order, to purposefully order the sequence of icons as they appear on the icon tray atop the GH canvas?

Please accept my apology for not knowing the correct term for the 'tray' - I am trying to describe the area that consists of each of the components that you access via tabs.

I do not need to structure the tab order, that's fine just as the default, however I would like to order the components in another order than just alphabetical that I am producing for a set of plugins / custom components that I am making. Is there a method for this?

No.

Components belong to a Tab, a Panel and a Section (derived from the Exposure property of each component). Within the each section the order is alphabetical.

Thanks for your answer David, so it's pretty much up to our naming convention then.

I seem to however have one section that doesn't comply to this alphabetical rule, could that be caused by a "²" symbol in the name maybe?

You may be able to affect the sorting by prepending a number of tab characters, they probably won't be visible in the ui, but it's a pretty nasty hack even if it does work.
