algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi everybody, i m new here, i would like to populate a surface with triangle (all of the same dimension and with the center planare of my surface

i have try to extract point with popgeo, so i have a cloud point and i would like to applied on this point, triangle. everybody now how i can do it? thanks so much

right now I have this situation, now I want to apply to each point a surface triangle. someone now how can i do? or other solution? thanks a lot for your support!

You can get the surface frame at each point and then use that to orient triangles on the surface?

I don't quite understand the question though, should the triangles fit together? Should they all 'point' in the same direction?

hi david, thanks for your support, but i need the triangle planar to surface not perpendicular to surface, and also i need a surface not a curve for the triangle.

thanks very much for your support, sorry if i ask you but i don't know how can i do.

I send you this link that explains why I need the triangles:

this is what the software ask me :For each vegetation instance simply build a triangular polygon. For example, if you want five trees in a garden, you have to build five polygons in a layer called "big trees". Each polygon has to be coplanar to the ground. The polygon's size is not relevant.

Ok. Since the 'ground' isn't planar, you cannot make coplanar polygons, but you can certainly orient them tangentially to the ground surface.

Trees grow against gravity, not perpendicular to the ground.

Hi David,

I have similar issue. I want to create independent triangles formed from populated points. please find the attachment for more understanding. PLZ note that this surface is flat. Thanks!
