you will have to use * every time there is multiplication

sin(t) * e^cos(t)-2*cos(4*t)-sin(t/12)^5

did u manage to get a grasshopper definition with the butterfly curve expression? If so, could you share it ?

Hi Lidia, here's my 2 approaches at this, the second one is fastest so I'd go with that. Hope it helps.
