Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I made a surface by using VSR shape modeling plugin in rhino . Firstly I created surfaces from curves on the three sides of the geometry and then I blended the center of it. Then I set those surfaces in grasshopper to brep. And here starts the problem although I used brep join it still doesnt behave like one joined surface which I can divide properly (grid).

I tried modeling this surface from curves using loft, sweep etc in rhino but couldn't get the result like from vsr but it seems it is also not a good idea. Im stuck with this problem, any help appreciated!

Hello Marietta

I am not familiar with Vsr plugin.

In general when working with trimmed surfaces, such operations like dividing the surface etc work on the untrimmed version. check the following topic

If you want to work with meshes (once joining is sorted) you can check out mesh machine component in kangaroo plugin which amongst other settings can triangulate equally your mesh

cheers

I'll give it a try, what I see its better to create that kind of threedimensional shape with tsplines and then work with meshes. Thanks
