Unable to connect two wires into one 'slot' on a node

I can't get to wires to connect into the same slot of a Loft node to loft curves, or in fact connect two wires into the same slot in general. (I tried plugging both curves into a curve collection then that to the Loft node, but they wouldn't plug into that either).

Tutorials etc take for granted that this is possible. I'd be grateful if anyone could help me out?

Hello

you can connect multiple wires when you press and hold shift  during connection. you will get a small + sign when trying to connect. (for the second third etc wire)

Plug one and use shift to plug the next, hope this helps
