Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I have a parametric setup in GH in which a DIVA simulation (Viper, Irradiation and Daylight) is run on each iteration and the results saved to an excel file through the gHowl plugin. I would now like to automize even more my simulation by using GHPython to control some of my GH components, identified in red in the attached (simplified example) file. Specifically, I would like to be able to (among other things):

- read and modify the value of a slider as well as animate it

- control a boolean toggle

- know when a simulation is over

- enable/disable components (e.g. DIVA simulation and spreadsheet writer)

Are any of these possible? If so, any hints on how I should proceed with my Python script? I am just starting with Python and haven't found any resource on how to do such actions.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Cheers, Emilie

Is this still an issue? i am at the moment writing python to control sliders and can assist you if needed.

Hi, thanks for your answer. I didn't make more trials since my post, so I'd be happy to see how you manage to control sliders. Can you share your python script with a simple example?
