algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I would like to rotate a rectangle on his own center following an attractor point. Does somebody know how to do this? I've been following this discussion http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/gradual-rotation, but still I can't figure it out.

Thanks in advance.

Is this what you are looking for? Since the angle between vectors always gives a positive result I use the x-value of the direction vector to check if the rotation should be positive or negative.

Thanks Joris!

Yes, more or less. I want to have several attractor points that controls the mouvement of this facade (like waves). I've tryied to add another point to your definition but it seems the elements follows just one of the points.

Yeah that script will not work with multiple attractors. This one picks the closest one and aligns in that direction. Better?

Yes! much better. Thanks a lot Joris!

No problem :-)
