Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am trying to draw lines from certain points of the object to that of another object.

Hi, I am trying to make lines between 2 objects.

So, I want to draw lines from one third of object's position to that of another object.

I thought it could work by point on curve or volume.

I have no idea how to select certain point of object

if it is designed perpendicular, I can draw a line using centroid in p'Volume' and move to Z axis, but it is not parallel.

Is there any idea for this?

Thank you.

If you'd like help on this issue, I think you're going to have to provide a little more information. Are the two (collection of) objects created in Grasshopper or just in Rhino? Can you upload the Rhino model (and GH definition if you have one)?

Thank you Damon!

Two objects were made in rhino. In the attached GH, I could genrate a line between two objects, but it is from center to center. I have no idea for making lines like the picture above.

I hope you would help :)

I'm afraid I don't have any good ideas.

This is a (very quick 'n dirty) script that generates two lines on 1 and 2/3th of the two breps. Is it something like this that you're trying to do?
