Remapping curve on surface gives unexpected result.

Hi

I am trying make voronoi on curved surface.

My approach is  Surface > Unrolled> New boundary>populate geometry> Voronoi> Trim> Remapping back to initial surface.

But it is giving me unexpected result.

Please look into GH definition.

Can you post it without the Kangaroo Unroller component? You can internalise the two surfaces relevant to the mapping, that should be enough to figure out why it's not working as expected?

Hi David

Here is the Gh definition with internalised kangaroo data.

The mapping component operates on a Trimmed source surface and an Untrimmed target surface. This is one of your problems. The other is that the two surfaces have flipped UV directions. So the voronoi diagram is morphed sideways onto the curved surface.

I attached a file which approaches the problem from a slightly different angle. I'm not sure how robust my solution is though...

Thanks David

This is working. I have to put some time to explore how it worked !!
