Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi

I'm looking to make a space frame from a rhino surface. So far, it has been possible to generate a single layer dia-grid. I'm looking to extract center grid from surface points then move in the normal direction of that center grid.

I have been looking into "evaluating surface" method from the tutorial (http://www.pxleyes.com/video-tutorial/rhino/8688/Create-a-Space-Fra... ) however when I connect 'Explode (Brep Components).F (Surface)' into 'Eval (Evaluate Surface.S (Surface)' I'm not getting the desired effect.

I've attached screenshots for further illustrations.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you for the response! Looking into it now.

Hi!Did you manage to solve your problem with diagrid? I'm trying to do an irregular surface division and having multiple issues, but it works just fine when I divide it regularly. First of all I'm facing an issue with surface normals, it gives me more than one.

Second, when I divide the surface with graph mappers, I have more faces than it would be expected.

The final error is when i try to put the lines togheter, it just went crazy and give me like 1000 lines! Would appreciate your help
